This was disclosed to GNA at Dodowa during a Dodowa Traditional Council meeting, chaired by Normesi Mantse Nene Teye Kwesi Agyemang V, the Chief of Dodowa.
Nene Agyeman V said it was an honour for the Shai State for one of its sons to be honoured by an international religious organisation such as the Anglican Church.
The Canon to be is the Chaplain of the Ghana Christian Council of UK and the Republic of Ireland.
In attendance would be the Asantehene, Osei Tutu II, who would be the Special Guest of Honour, with former President John Agyekum Kufuor and former President Jerry John Rawlings gracing the occasion.
The title of Canon is largely an honorary title.
It is usually awarded in recognition of long and dedicated service to the diocese.
Honorary canons are members of the chapter in name but are non-residential and receive no emoluments. Those conferred are entitled to call themselves Canon and may have a role in the administration of the cathedral.
Dr Tetteh has been holding evangelism and healing crusades with the Anglican Church
